Preventative care

Preventative care is simply keeping your dog or cat healthy before trouble starts. We walk beside you through each season of your pet's life, building a plan that fits their age, lifestyle, and any medical needs.

At your pet's visit, we review vaccines, talk about flea, tick, and heartworm protection, and discuss diet, weight, and dental health. We time vaccines so your pet is protected without overdoing it, and we help you choose parasite prevention that is safe, effective, and realistic for your routine. Many of these preventives are available through our online pharmacy, so refills can be shipped right to your door.

Preventative care is especially important for pets in rural areas who may be exposed to wildlife, standing water, or other animals. By staying on top of vaccines, parasites, and early screening tests, you greatly reduce the risk of serious illness, big vet bills, and heartache down the road.

Our aim is simple: fewer emergencies, more healthy years together, and a plan you understand and feel good about.
