Emergency Veterinary Care

When your pet suddenly cannot stand, is hit by a car, has trouble breathing, or is simply "not acting right," every minute feels heavy. Our emergency veterinary care is here to help in those frightening moments.

We start by quickly assessing breathing, heart rate, pain level, and level of alertness. Then we stabilize your dog or cat with oxygen, IV fluids, pain control, or wound care as needed. Once your pet is more comfortable, we talk through what we know so far, possible tests, treatment options, and costs so you can make decisions without feeling rushed.

Common emergencies we see include trauma, allergic reactions, poisoning, bloat concerns, seizures, sudden vomiting or diarrhea, and birthing difficulties in small animals. When advanced care or overnight monitoring is needed, we discuss referral options and help you decide the best path.

We know emergencies rarely happen at a convenient time. If you are unsure whether your pet's situation is urgent, calling ahead lets us guide you and prepare for your arrival so we can act quickly when you walk through the door.
